Detecting parameters essential for unlocking intelligence from satellite carriers
Valuable regional and trans-national intelligence is obtained by monitoring communications satellites. To intercept satellites and detailed analysis of the available spectrum is very important. an assortment of technical paramaters such as carrier frequency, symbol rate, modulation type etc., must be unraveled. Discovering point codes, signaling protocols, DCME types and extracting content further unlocks the value of this data. Although possible to resolve parameters manually, the task of continually maintaining this operational data is taxing and laborious. In this session VASTech will demonstrate an automated satellite signal analyser.

Data Fusion and Automated Threat Identification - The future of intelligence analysis for law enforcement
Criminal organisations are more complex and their activities more widespread than ever before and they understand the difficulties law enforcement agencies face in dealing with continuous increases in volumes and types of data. They exploit these circumstances effectively, making it harder for analysts and investigators to understand the true nature and scale of the social networks at the heart of the criminal business.
Data fusion and automated building of social networks are crucial elements to any solution that aims to deliver an effective capability to law enforcement analysts and investigators dealing with the crime problems of the 21st century. This training session will highlight the products and tools that are now available to enhance analysis and threat identification within a policing environment, evidencing the individual benefits and overall value of utilising this new approach.
