Data Acquisition in 5G Networks and Maintain Capability Today and Tomorrow

Fully realizing the potential of 5G means transforming the core telecommunications network from a fixed-function, hard-wired, appliance-based architecture to a software and cloud based open platform. Deeper interconnectivity and a more extensive technology mix in the core network will mean that critical support services, including Lawful Interception (LI) are going to be more difficult to implement and manage so that they achieve the goals of LI within a 5G environment.

In this webinar, we explore options to these challenges LEAs’s and CSP’s are facings when keeping up with LI in 5G.

  1. Provide a overview of what the 5G roadmap look like over the next 3 years?
  2. Discuss how the standards (3GPP, ESTI) aligning to the roadmap?
  3. Data acquisition options in a cloud based architecture?
  4. How to manage data volumes upstream of the LEMF.

Presenter:
Chris Young, Solution Architect, BAE Systems Applied Intelligence

About BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, we have been in the LI market for over 30 years and have built an extensive ecosystem of relationships with CSPs, vendors and regulators. We support globally applied legislation and standards - CALEA (communications assistance for law enforcement), ETSI, 3GPP, ATIS – and we assist law enforcement and intelligence agencies with their investigations. We actively work with the standards groups (ETSI, 3GPP) that enable us to be at the fore-front of industry changes and guide our customers appropriately.
